In Between - The First Seven
This track is a demo version for a new band 'The First Seven'. Recorded by guitarist Pete Murphy, its quite a long, dynamic song with a lot of light and shade throughout, which climaxes with a very straight but effective build up which stretches across that last minute or so of the track.

Stop Pushing Me Away - Eyes Wide Open
Here's a track I recorded at The Square Centre in Nottingham sometime in 2005. The Producer was Tom Smyth. It's a typical soft rock ballad at a slow pace, but it one of those songs that came together quickly and at the time, it was exactly what we were after.

Damn You - Eyes Wide Open
Again, this track was recorded at The Square Centre in Nottingham and produced by Tom Smyth. Damn You is a modern rock type track, very commercial in nature and heavily influenced by US bands such as Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls.

Four Weeks - Blackballoon
Another track from Blackballoon, but this time I recorded and produced this track myself. I laid down the drum track at first, called the rest of the band in to complete the song. I recorded it at my mini studio in Birmingham using Pro Tools.
More of an up tempo rock track, it has very dark lyrical content and a cool instrumental break in the middle with a short section in 7/4.

Mr Fun - Blackballoon
Mr Fun is much heavier blues/rock track which incorporates some double-kick work. Again, I recorded and produced this track at my studio in Birmingham. It has a crazy instrumental section in the middle which covers a few different grooves but the track overall is very melodic and commercial sounding.

Company - Blackballoon
Company is a long epic style rock and roll song. Which demonstrates a lot of light and shade and incorporates a cool, almost 'dance style' section in the middle with an interesting short 7/4 to follow. The whole track builds up to huge chorus and outro.
